Film Screening: Tenzing Bodosa – The Story of a Tribal Entrepreneur

An hour-long documentary about the remarkable life of a tea grower from northeast India, his love of nature and the world’s first “Elephant-Friendly” certified tea!

Wednesday, May 10th at the Stan Hagen Theatre,  North Island College, Courtenay, BC

World Community and Fertile Ground are excited – and honoured – to be hosting the Canadian premiere showing of a beautifully-filmed documentary about an independent tea grower who became the producer of the world’s first “elephant-friendly” certified tea!

Tenzing and his family live in Dimakuchi, a remote tribal community close to the India/Bhutan border. The film, directed by Mushuka Ramchiary, highlights Tenzing’s amazing journey and offers a rare glimpse into the rich culture and traditions of the Bodo people.

…..and it is Fertile Ground’s 20th anniversary!  To mark the occasion, teas and traditional Indian sweets will be available in the foyer starting at 6:45 pm.  The film presentation will get underway at 7:30 pm.   Free admission, co-hosted by World Community and Fertile Ground:  East/West Sustainability Network
