World Community Development Education Society is holding its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, June 5 at 7pm at the Lower Native Sons Hall
Everyone is welcome to join us for refreshments, updates on our work and a special presentation about the Nicaraguan health promotion project we support.
We will also screen the beautiful 22 minute film, Reflections; Art for an Oil-Free Coast which shares the story of an expedition of fifty artists into the truly stunning Great Bear Rainforest, a landscape that is threatened by Enbridge’s proposed Northern Gateway pipeline and supertanker project. As these artists worked among pristine estuaries and alongside bears, they created an amazing collection of art to share with the world.
Attendees will be entered into a draw for a special door prize.
‘World Community’ works to foster greater awareness of the social, economic and environmental consequences of human activity at both the local and global levels.
