Volunteer bicycle mechanics needed for the bikes we’d like you to donate to us.
World Community Bikes is in need of volunteer bicycle mechanics who are able to give any amount of time. As well, donations of unwanted bikes are being solicited.
Since May 2009, the group has partnered with The Salvation Army and other Comox Valley social agencies to provide bicycles to adults in need of transportation. To date, 124 bikes have been distributed to those who cannot afford other means of transport. Some others have been sold in order to fund the purchase of parts, including fenders and carriers.
